Willie grew up in Cannon Falls and was very active in his Lutheran church as a youth. He got away from church life when he went off to college in Rochester, MN. He graduates from Rochester Community College with a degree in Electronics Engineering which he never used because music was his passion. Willie started a band called "After Shock" which toured the club circuit in the five state area. He continued with other bands until 1992. At this time he lost his voice and he thought his world had come to an end.
In 1993 Willie married his high school sweetheart, Carmen. That same year he got involved in sales and through this connection came back into a right relsitonship with God. It was during this time that his voice returned and he realized his musical gifts were to be used for God's glory. He became involved in the local church using his musical giftings by leading worhsip.
In 2000, after patiently waiting and trusting God, Willie and Carmen gave birthto their pride and joy-Cora Adele on August 25th. During this time they shared various roles of leadership in their church. With a desire for adventure and to express his musical gifts in a more contemporary fashion, he felt God leading him into something new. Willie got involved in the River Church-Faribault with people of like vision musically. Wille went on to play a key role in the development of the new River Church-Farmington. He offered needed leadership ability combined with a high energy musical talent and a passion to praise God with his whole heart.
